Like love, happiness is a strong, positive emotion. Think about a recent time when you felt happy. Were you happy about something you accomplished? Or was your happiness a result of pleasant surprise? People feel for many different reasons and sometimes for no particular reason at all. It is a normal response to pleasant events in one's life.
When a person feels happy, he or she also feels satisfied with life. Feeling happy makes you feel good about yourself. What makes you feel happy? Take some time to make a list of things you enjoy. Then try to "build" these happy times into your daily life. If you enjoy skating with your friends, for example make a date with your friends to go skating. If you like to read books, set aside some time each day for reading. The good feelings will stay with you for the rest of the day.
