Comment by Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova on the fifth anniversary of the Salisbury incident
It is now five years since the incident in Salisbury, which the UK authorities deliberately used to complicate UK-Russia bilateral relations.
In this connection, we would like to remind everyone once again that despite Russia’s numerous appeals and calls for a responsible dialogue,
London is still refusing to engage in a detailed discussion and joint investigation of this event, in which Russian citizens were harmed.
We insist on a professional, objective and unbiased investigation of the incident. We intend to continue our consistent efforts to uncover the truth in the face of the obvious inconsistencies in the UK’s position.
