leach into the food. Plastic wrap is chiefly made of low-density polyethylene, which has additives such as
plasticizers and antioxidants. Plasticizers are solvents that increase the flexibility of plastics. Their molecular weight is 300 or higher. They
occupy the in-between spaces of polymer.
