Award materials on servicemen who liberated Mariupol

Sergeant Stepan Abozin, commander of a rifle platoon, taking part in the storming of Mariupol, "broke into the north-western outskirts of the city with his platoon. One battalion mortar was destroyed. Personally killed seven German soldiers, destroyed the crew of a hand machine gun, which allowed the unit to advance without losses". After three days sergeant Abozin "was the first with the unit rushed into Staryj Krym village of Stalinskii (now - Donetsk.) region, personally killed two German soldiers and restrained enemy counterattacks within nineteen hours, which gave the chance to reveal enemy forces for further movement of the units".
He was presented with the Medal for Valour.
