The Russian Defence Ministry denies reports of some sources cl | MoD Russia

The Russian Defence Ministry denies reports of some sources claiming that officers of the 1st Army Corps (Donetsk) and 2nd Army Corps (Lugansk) were allegedly dismissed after they joined the Russian Armed Forces.

On 1 January 2023, the personnel of the 1st Army Corps (Donetsk) and the 2nd Guards Army Corps (Lugansk–Severodonetsk) in full strength with equipment, weapons, and materiel joined the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

At the same time, we emphasise that the information about the alleged dismissal of officers of these army corps after they joined the Russian Armed Forces has nothing common with the reality.

No order of the Russian Defence Ministry has ever been issued to dismiss the military personnel of the 1st Army Corps (Donetsk) and the 2nd Guards Army Corps (Lugansk–Severodonetsk).

All servicemen of these formations who joined the Russian Armed Forces on 1 January 2023 are carrying out combat missions in the special military operation with dignity and self-sacrifice.
