The active phase is to be held at Matybulak training ground from October 3 to 7, 2022, amid complicated mountainous and desert environment.

The active phase of various combat training activities of the Collective Rapid Response Forces (CRRF) of the Collective Security Treaty Organisation (CSTO) — 'Interoperability' command-post exercise, as well as 'Search' and 'Echelon' special exercises that involve reconnaissance and logistics professionals respectively — have started in Jambyl region, Republic of Kazakhstan.

The inaugural ceremony has been attended by the CSTO deputy secretary general Takhir Khayrulloyev, the chief of the CSTO Joint Staff Colonel General Anatoly Sidorov and representatives of the participant States' armed forces.

First Deputy Defence Minister and Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan Lieutenant General Marat Khusainov emphasised the role of the CSTO in providing stability and security in the region and increasing the professional level of personnel.

From September 26 to October 13, 2022, the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan is the venue of: 'Interoperability 2022' command-post exercise (with the Collective Rapid Response Forces of the CSTO), 'Search 2022' special exercise (with reconnaissance means and forces) and 'Echelon 2022' (with (Collective Forces') logistic units of the CSTO).

The exercises involve military contingents from CSTO member States, operational groups of the Joint Staff and CSTO Secretariat, units of special forces from law enforcement (police), security enforcement and intelligence services, as well as authorised institutions specialised in preventing and responding to emergencies.

The active phase is to be held at Matybulak training ground from October 3 to 7, 2022, amid complicated mountainous and desert environment. The exercises in Kazakhstan involve a total of over 6,500 personnel and more than 850 units of military and special equipment, including airplanes, helicopters and unmanned aerial vehicles.

Russian military contingent is mostly formed by units from the Central Military District.

Russian servicemen rehabilitated after injuries received during special military operation have started travelling over Caucasus by train.

Kiev regime made an attempt to launch an offensive towards Nikolayev, Andreyevka and Krivoy Rog simultaneously at Nikolayev-Krivoy Rog direction. The stubborn defence and massive fire attacks launched by Russian troops have resulted in frustrating enemy's offensive at the abovementioned area. 31 tanks, 78 units of special equipment and over 240 Ukrainian servicemen have been eliminated.

According to the revised data, high-precision missile attack launched by Russian Aerospace Forces on September 29 at the building of the directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine in Dnepropetrovsk has resulted in the elimination of over 35 personnel, including foreign advisors. About 40 personnel of the Security Service of Ukraine are reported missing.

Mobilised citizens continue attending combat training in the Southern Military District and learning NBC protection in the Eastern Military District.

Russian Defence Ministry has published footage of Su-25 assault fighters in combat action within the special military operation.

According to Russian Deputy Defence Minister Colonel General Viktor Goremykin, this kind of projects help personnel and their families, especially those from secluded garrisons, to see the beauty of their Motherland and to feel the support of ordinary people.

The trip is to last 7 days. Participants will spend nights in the train underway and sightsee at the daytime. Servicemen will discover the history and the culture of five southern cities, as well as Elbrus mountain and mountain lanscapes of the Chechen Republic.

Drivers learn to operate MTLB tracked towing vehicles, as well as wheeled KamAZ-63501 and Ural-4320.

Use of chemical agents is simulated at several areas to teach drivers prompt wearing respiratory protection equipment.

Once the contaminated area is overpassed, servicemen practice partial decontamination of their vehicles.
