Things That Will Decide The Market Today

GIFT NIFTY opened 26 points higher at 22,414 signalling that the Indian stock market is headed for a positive start today.

On Wednesday, the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed above 39,000 points for the first time in five weeks, extending its winning streak to six sessions. This was driven by investor confidence in supportive U.S. monetary policy. However, other benchmarks like the S&P 500 remained unchanged after four consecutive gains, while the Nasdaq Composite experienced its second consecutive decline as momentum slowed and U.S. Treasury yields rose ahead of a 10-year notes auction.

The volatility index - India VIX increased by 0.43% to the levels of 17.08 indicating increased volatility in the market.
