It's not easy to forget someone who had become your habit. There's going to be a lot of negative energy. At the end of the day, if someone truly wants to be in your life, they will be. They will make the effort. If they do not, let that be your closure. Don't ruin them in your mind. Miss them but don't ache for them to come back. You don't have to hate them, Love every lesson they taught you. Focus on the ones who stayed, focus on the ones who appreciate you and respect you. Don't hold grudges. The more anger towards the past you carry in your heart, the less capable you are of loving in the present. Forgive yourself for trusting the wrong person, for choosing the wrong path, for the chances you didn't take, for not being there for yourself. You couldn't have predicted the future. There will always be chances to start over. It's okay to not have all the answers. It's time to let go of every disappointment. You get to bury each mistake you made. What matters most is how you heal from these heartbreaks. Learn how to forgive yourself.
