Shiprock Rock, USA
Shiprock is a rock located in northwestern New Mexico. The Navajo tribes have always considered this place sacred.
Indians say that the once peaceful tribe who lived here was constantly raided by enemies. The shamans prayed every day to the spirits to give them salvation, and one day the land beside them rushed to the sky like a bird, allowing them to climb up and live in safety. Thus Tse bitai, which means "The Wrapped Stone," came into being.
Nowadays, extreme climbers, obsessed with the desire to visit the sacred peak, sometimes come to Shiprock. Some of them succeed in the ascent, but most part with their lives.
It is said that the "winged stone" itself decides who has the honor to climb it and who is destined to die.
