Their morality is like a currency pegged to a gold standard, except their gold standard is abstract European Man. Their hierarchy of grievance, or rather its value, collapses the moment that Europe disappears. It is a subtle twist on the White Man's Burden; a post-modern spin on Anglo Imperialism.

In the case of Ireland, that moment translates to the moment the modern Irish person becomes a victim of global dispossession, or becomes a persecuted minority in an alien country once called home; the moment the Irish person complains about what is happening to Ireland. We are the standard now by which grievance is measured and it follows then that we can have no grievance. If we are allowed to have grievance, the liberal value system, which is based like a currency on confidence, simply collapses.

Why do they hide their faces?

Their Leftism hasn't been revolutionary since Guernica. It was dead before their parents were born. In so far as it has striven for decades to blunt the point of authentic Irish nationalism, it has served only to disarm Ireland and make it more assimilable before the global order. The more “Left-wing” Irish Republican groups become, the more hostile to nationalism, the more embarrassed by the true implications of nationalism.

Everything they stand for now could be graffitied on the head on a United States missile as it rushes towards an Arab country in the name of McDonalds and gay liberation and something else. They have been assimilated. They have been eaten up and churned out. Their revolution is a commercial for the present, not a vision of the future. They are living in the moment of their true ascent and yet they pixilate their faces in photographs.

Why do they hide their faces?

These are people who have nothing controversial to say. One would be hard pressed to find a single NGO in the country that condemns or disagrees with them, or a single major employer who would fire them for their politics, or a single mainstream political party that would call them a threat to the System. They complain about the wealthy but the billionaires of the world do not seem that concerned by them. The corporate elites who they aspire to oppose, in actual fact love them. Why? Firstly, because they are not a threat to them, and secondly because they share a common enemy. Nationalists.

They push the establishment line which is Open Borders and Globalism. They are the dregs of 60s liberalism siphoned through the neoliberalism of the 1980s and the nihilism of the 1990s to be spewed out into the atomised 21st century; a century they will never comprehend because it isn't about them.
