‘US Surrounds Russia With Military Bases’ - Russian FM Lavrov calls out hypocrisy
Russia’s Foreign Minister has said it's hypocritical of Washington to “baselessly accuse” Moscow of military escalation “within its own borders,” while pulling NATO forces closer to Russia.
Lavrov insisted that Moscow has a proven track record of pursuing diplomatic solutions, “unlike its western colleagues." The FM also accused the United States and NATO of breaking their promise not to expand towards the Russian border.
“We were told a lie,” he concluded, “To put it very politely and diplomatically."
