'Anti-Free Speech' Twitter CEO BANS private media sharing as Reps warn of censorship agenda... Day one
Parag Agrawal has wasted no time making his mark as Twitter’s new CEO, announcing a ban on sharing private images, video or info without consent - and GOP alarm bells were already ringing.
“Our role is not to be bound by the First Amendment,” Agrawal said last November, adding Twitter chooses to “focus less on thinking about free speech, but thinking about how the times have changed.”
Republicans have referenced his past tweets where he suggested religions are pyramid schemes and suggested assumptions of Islamic extremism might allow him to assume all white people are racist.
Sen Marsha Blackburn called the choice of jack Dorsey’s successor “extremely troubling”, claiming it “cements the company’s intent to silence opposition view points."
