Keep a lookout for phishing messages claiming to be from the ‘bank’.

Scammers are sending phishing messages informing users of suspicious login attempts and transactions from their bank accounts. The message will include a malicious link to direct victims to resolve the issues on the website created by the scammers.

What's more, scammers go to the extent of spoofing the bank's SMS ID so their messages appear in the same thread as other messages sent by the actual banks.

Don’t click on links found in messages.

Never share your personal, bank account details or One-Time Passwords (OTPs) on unverified websites.

Access your bank account only through the official website or bank app.

If in doubt, always call your bank’s official number to verify.
