Canada will financially support refugees from Ukraine
Canadian authorities will pay an allowance to refugees from
Ukraine who arrived in the country
after February 24: adults - $2.4 thousand, children under 17 - $1.2 thousand, according to a press release from the government of the country.
Such assistance can be received by
Ukrainians with a
valid work or study permit, a temporary residence permit or those who participate in the program for emergency immigration (CUAET). Also, you must have a
Canadian bank account, and payment will be received within 5 days of applying.
The country helps with opening an account and also with finding a job, learning the language, and enrolling children in school.
