In the documentary “Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck”, the relatives of Cobain, who committed suicide in 1994, are heard—his mother, father and stepmother, and little sister.

The documentary deals with the rage of youth caused by parental divorce, the eruption of angst as the most creative, as well as the drug problems that have joined Nirvana's years of success.

When Kurt Cobain’s parents Don and Wendy divorced, Cobain was left in the wind.

Director Brett Morgen received the right to use unprecedented archival material from Cobain's widow, Courtney Love, for the documentary.

“She trusted me. I believe that their daughter's participation in the team caused Cobain's mother and father, for example, to agree to be interviewed,” says director Morgen.

Surprisingly, the documentary does not feature Dave Grohl, who has had a long career as a beakman in Foo Fighters after Nirvana, nor Frances Bean Cobain, the daughter of Cobain, or Courtney Love, who acted as the film’s lead producer.
