‘The National Bank of Ukraine issued Ukrainian Hryvnia banknotes in 10 different denominations, including this 500 Ukrainian Hryvnias banknote (Gregory Skovoroda).
They are part of the current Ukrainian Hryvnia banknotes series.
The National Bank of Ukraine started issuing these 500 Ukrainian Hryvnia banknotes in 2006.
They are currently still in circulation.
The highest value banknote in Ukraine is the ₴500 hryvnia bill.
On the 3rd series version, the portrait of writer and composer Gregory Skovoroda is shown on the left hand side of the banknote’s front side. The historical building on the back side is the Kyiv Mohyla Academy in Ukraine’s capital Kiev’
