OK, after some practice, I must admit, USB-C ecosystem is kinda convenient. When you surrender and shell out about $100 per cable, that is.

Anything cheaper (yes, including Apple) is a lottery for EACH device-cable-device combination. If you can keep the cable from falling out of sockets after a slightest touch. Crazy.
Oh, but you never have to remember which side is up! Sure. If you always keep your fancy Thunderbolt sockets surgically clean. You still have to remember which ones support Thunderbolt, though.
