Just as its name suggests, the Handkerchief Tree (Cynometra browneoides) looks as though white handkerchiefs are hanging from it!

These “handkerchiefs” are actually the flushes of new leaves. After a few days, these flushes harden and turn green, just like the rest of the mature leaves on its crown.
