International Day of Biological Diversity

To mark the International Day of Biological Diversity today, why not embark on an ‘I Spy’ challenge at your nearest park, to see how many different species you can spot?

At the launch of the Festival of Biodiversity yesterday, we shared our plans to conduct long-term monitoring of Singapore's forests in the Central Catchment Nature Reserve, which is home to a variety of native wildlife, including the Gold-ringed Cat Snake (Boiga dendrophila). We will be re-surveying 62 forest plots to better understand their ecological processes and how they have changed over time, which will help guide our efforts in conservation!
