Shortly after reports emerged that North Korea had tested its first intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) since November 2017, South Korea said it conducted a missile test of its own, firing at a target from land, air and sea.

South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff announced Thursday that a missile launched from North Korea's western Sunan district near the capital Pyongyang into the Sea of Japan, known to both Koreas as the East Sea, appeared to have been an ICBM, classified as a missile with a range of over 5,500 kilometers, or around 3,418 miles.

2022-03-24 00:19:40 The protest in front of the British High Commission in Kingston comes a couple of days after dozens of prominent leaders in Jamaica publicized a letter demanding that Britain apologize and award its former colony slavery reparations. They also decried the weeklong Central American and Caribbean tour that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge embarked on Saturday, which coincides with Jamaica's 60th independence anniversary and the 70th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II's coronation.

2022-03-23 18:12:41 OPINION:
Joe Biden is no longer useful to the ruling class.
After being used to win an election, he’s now making it impossible for them to credibly foist on Americans the idea that his party could win another one with him on their masthead. The donkey is showing through the lion skin, and so they need a new donkey.

So while it seems utterly legitimate to insist on accountability such as appointing a special counsel to investigate the Biden family’s apparent corruption, that also could relieve the Democrat Party of their greatest liability. They’d probably deeply appreciate that, in fact. Biden got the ruling class what they wanted, and they don’t need him any more. Getting rid of him now would in fact be highly convenient for maintaining their power.

2022-01-30 23:01:58 Kamala Harris Can't Be Bothered with Proper Border Visit, But She Did Go to Honduran President's Inauguration

It's been over 10 months since President Joe Biden named Vice President Kamala Harris the border czar, among many other tasks, which she has also failed at. Since then, she has made one border visit--if you can call it that--which took place last June. While Harris doesn't have time for multiple visits, never mind more proper ones, she does have time to attend the inauguration for Honduras' Xiomara Castro, a socialist, which took place on Thursday.

The RNC called out Harris' lack of responsibility when it came to her attending. "Border Czar Kamala Harris is yet again dodging responsibility and flying over the Biden border crisis to travel to Honduras to celebrate the inauguration of a self-avowed socialist. Nearly 2 million illegal immigrants have been apprehended at the border, deadly drugs are pouring in, and crime is surging. Biden and Harris don’t care about the devastation their failed policies are causing the American people," RNC Communications Director Danielle Alvarez said in a statement.

Fox News' Houston Keene covered the trip on Wednesday, covering what other outlets did not when it comes to Castro's troubling attributes, as well as that of First Vice President Salvador Nasralla and Nasralla's wife, who have made noteworthy comments about Jews and Israel.

Harris has run into trouble for failing to call out antisemitism before. Last March she gave opening remarks for the 2021 Black Women's Roundtable "Women of Power" Summit, where anti-Semite figure Tamika Mallory, who co-founded but was too extreme to remain part of the Women's March, also spoke.

Last October, Harris also took questions from students at George Mason University, where one student claimed in remarks unchallenged by Harris that Israel was engaging in "an ethnic genocide." Harris thanked the young woman for speaking her truth, while her office was left to later do damage control.

On Thursday, the White House released a readout between Castro and Harris, which was the newly inaugurated president's first meeting with a foreign leader.
According to the readout, the two discussed issues such as "addressing the root causes of migration, combatting corruption, and expanding economic opportunity." Additionally, the vice president told President Castro that vaccines against the Wuhan coronavirus will be arriving in the country. Harris is expected back in the United States late Thursday night.

Vladimir Putin’s new year is off to quite a start. The Russian autocrat isn’t just massing troops on the Ukraine border, kicking off a diplomatic panic in European capitals and in Washington. In recent days he’s also backed a refugee stand-off with Poland, helped Kazakhstan’s strongman squelch pro-democracy protests, maintained a presence in Assad’s Syria, established new footholds in Mali and Central African Republic, cozied up to communist China, and, in a nod to Khrushchev, hinted he might build military infrastructure in Cuba and Venezuela.

What’s remarkable about this geographically expansive, chaos-inducing, dangerous spectacle is that it was entirely avoidable.

Mr. Putin is no cipher. He is a son of the former Soviet Union, a system that was steeped in lies and sustained by violence, an experience that shaped his leadership style. Any threat to his power at home, by a political opponent or too-inquisitive journalist, is put down immediately. Abroad, any democratic movement on Russia’s periphery, be it in Georgia, Ukraine, or elsewhere, is rapidly undermined by Russian military power or proxies like the Wagner Group. This is not a man who responds to diplomatic niceties or craves adoration from Davos Man. Mr. Putin is more accurately understood as a corrupt thug with a nuclear arsenal and oil rigs.
