JUST IN | OVER 18,000 NEW CASES
The Philippines recorded 18,332 new COVID-19 infections on August 23, a new daily-high, as the government tackled the spread of the Delta variant. This is the second time this month that the country tallied a record high in daily cases. The 130,350 is also the highest number of active cases recorded since April 19, 2021.
