Psalms always reminds me of David’s passion for prayer! He wa | Family Bible Fellowship of Ridgeville

Psalms always reminds me of David’s passion for prayer! He was a man that knew he was able to be wicked and never wanted God to turn His face away from him, David needed the Lord to keep him, protect him and hear from him!

He cry’s out, here….

“To You, O Yahweh, I call; My rock, do not be silent to me, Lest if You are hesitant toward me, I will become like those who go down to the pit.”
(Psalm 28:1)

He needed the Lord to protect him and also to answer him!

“Hear the voice of my supplications when I cry to You for help, When I lift up my hands toward Your holy sanctuary.”
(Psalm 28:2 LSB)

And here we see him pleading again to listen, to hear! How often do we plead with God to keep us from evil! We wake early in the morning, and with evil in our hearts, able to do that which we hate! If he doesn’t hear, protect and keep us certainly we can!

“Do not drag me away with the wicked And with workers of iniquity, Who speak peace with their neighbors, While evil is in their hearts.”
(Psalm 28:3 LSB)

David says a lot here, even about his own abilities, but he also reveals the wicked and the workers of iniquity! Those who speak peace to your face, but will stab you in your back! Don’t be evil, don’t be wicked, call on Him who can protect you from such a lifestyle! And keep you from such a person!

Matter of fact David says Lord, not only keep me, but pay them back what they deserve for their wickedness!

“Give to them according to their work and according to the evil of their actions; Give to them according to the deeds of their hands; Return their dealings upon them.”v4

What they try upon me, David says, give unto them Yahweh!

All the reason, “Because they do not regard the works of Yahweh Nor the deeds of His hands, He will tear them down and not build them up.”
(Psalm 28:4–5 LSB)

You do you! Be a great representative for Jesus Christ, and let God do God! He will take care of HIS enemies!
You be like David, and pray pray pray! Hear us oh Lord and trust in Him and His ways!

Have a blessed day as you walk with Him!
