Ain’t nothing changed, people still turning from the Truth today! This postmodern Philosophy of truth is perverted in our day! It is a self-created truth, it is a “truth” that is self proclaimed, made up and relates to what we see in…..

Romans 1:18
[18] For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth.

Romans 1:25
[25] because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator…..

This Postmodern self fabricated so-called truth will deceive many! A Matter of Fact Paul says……

2 Timothy 3:1-7
[1] But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. [2] For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, [3] heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, [4] treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, [5] having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people. [6] For among them are those who creep into households and capture weak women, burdened with sins and led astray by various passions, [7] always learning and never able to arrive at a knowledge of the (TRUTH)

And then in chapter 4 he puts the nail in the coffin! And Defines a post modern self fabricated idea of truth when he says….

2 Timothy 4:3-5
[3] For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, [4] and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths.

The Greek word (tous mythous) translated as “myth” here is staggering! It is defined as a narrative or a story without distinction of fact or fiction! It is a tale, it is a self created story, a legend or a myth! sound familiar?

And then Paul even says…..

[5] As for you, always be sober-minded, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.

Don’t get wrapped up in this modern day deception of self promoted truth!

Rather follow what Paul says in
1 Timothy 4:7
“But refuse godless myths fit only for old women. On the other hand, train yourself for the purpose of godliness,”

Reject the false because they are only Lies! The Truth is founded in the Word and the faithful stands firm in the Word of God!

My friends, shall I encourage you to as Paul says in….

2 Timothy 2:15
“Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth. But avoid godless and empty chatter, for it will lead to further ungodliness, and their word will spread like gangrene. Among them are Hymenaeus and Philetus, who have gone astray from the truth….

I want to encourage you to, stand firm in the faith! Keep your eyes on the prize and shut out the drama and noise that is causing you to be distracted from what’s eternal and honoring to the Lord!

So let us hold fast to what Paul says! Notice he isn’t saying we are to fight! We shouldn’t be fighting, bickering, but rather Standing firm! Remember we are not fighting for Victory, but rather we are fighting out of our victory! And thus Paul say…..

Ephesians 6:14-20
[14] Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, [15] and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. [16] In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; [17] and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, [18] praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication.
