Normally we email you with an update on our activities, but today is different - we're emailing to ask you to make your voice heard on an issue that could have a devastating impact on our children and future generations of Americans: the forced inclusion of the anti-American and blatantly racist philosophy of critical race theory (CRT) in public school curricula nationwide.
What are we talking about?
In a new proposed rule by the Department of Education (DoE), the Biden Administration is seeking to add new strings to educational grants that would require public schools to teach radical and contentious ideas like critical race theory.
FreedomWorks Foundation’s Building Education for Students Together (BEST) initiative and Regulatory Action Center have teamed up to fight against the regulatory rule forcing critical race theory to be taught in our schools.

The Department of Education is accepting public comments on this atrocious regulatory proposal through May 19th. Please take a moment to submit a comment at this link: https://fwact.org/IkMR6uq.
Once you’ve submitted your comment, forward this email to your friends and family and ask them to submit their thoughts as well. The more comments that the DoE receives blasting this ridiculous proposal, the better. And believe us, federal agencies pay attention to these comments.

What is critical race theory?
As President Trump described it in the Executive Order banning the use of critical race theory in federal workforce training, critical race theory “is grounded in hierarchies based on collective social and political identities, rather than in the inherent and equal dignity of every person as an individual. This ideology is rooted in the pernicious and false belief that America is an irredeemably racist and sexist country; that some people, simply on account of their race or sex, are oppressors; and that racial and sexual identities are more important than our common status as human beings and Americans.”
As an academic discipline, critical race theory can be difficult to define. Anti-critical theory academics James Lindsay and Helen Pluckrose explain it in their book Cynical Theories: “Unlike some academic disciplines, critical race theory contains an activist dimension. It tries not only to understand our social situation but to change it, setting out not only to ascertain how society organizes itself along racial lines and hierarchies, but to transform it…”
Senator Tim Scott said it best in his response to President Biden’s recent speech to Congress: “Hear me clearly: America is not a racist country. It’s backwards to fight discrimination with different types of discrimination.”
