Turkey Dismisses US Sanctions Threats as "Meaningless"
Turkish Finance Minister Nureddin Nebati told local businesses on Friday there was no cause for concern regarding potential US sanctions over their dealings with sanctioned Russian entities.
This month the US Treasury told both the country's largest business group TUSIAD and the finance ministry that some Russian companies and individuals were bypassing sanctions through Turkey.
"The letter related to Turkish business groups creating concern among business circles is meaningless. We are pleased to see that the United States, our ally and trade partner, is inviting its businesses to invest in our economy," Nebati tweeted.
