It is observed that many question were asked directly quoting the rules from the volumes. Like fill in the blanks, which one is correct etc etc kind of questions. Almost all circles asked such bits. Especially in paper-2.
If u read short notes kind of materials it is difficult to answer such questions.
It is always advised to read every line in volumes and then go for short notes for revision.
