Ubax Gardheere is running for the King County Council in Seattle, WA. Gardheere is the director of the "Equitable Development Division" in Seattle's Office of Planning and Community Development.

On Jan. 12, 2010, Gardheere, a Somali immigrant, boarded a Chinook Middle School bus yelling at the children about Somalia, then said she may have a bomb and a gun. "I could have a bomb. Look how loose my clothes are," according to an audio recording of the incident.

When students attempted to escape, she called them white cowards and told them they would be responsible if something happened to their classmates.

Gardheere told the officer that she was "prepared to die." She was hit with felony charges of kidnapping, but a plea deal with prosecutors got the felonies down to a MISDEMEANOR.
