As always we had an excellent response. Thank you to all those who attended live. This session will be helpful for everyone who would be appearing for MD / DMRD / DNB / FRCR exam. The recording is available for the next couple of days on the RadioGyan Youtube channel for those who missed attending live.

Posterior Fossa Mass ddx in kids

Diffusion can be helpful to narrow the ddx. If DWI + think medulloblastoma

4th ventricle mass
- along roof: medulloblastoma
- along floor: ependymoma

Cyst + Nodule
- probably a pilocytic astrocytoma
- flow voids ++ hemangioblastoma

2021-04-17 04:23:16 “I just received two x-rays and CT head scans recently. Will I develop cancer ?”

A 41-year man comes for a CT abdomen study to rule out appendicitis. What is his risk of developing cancer due to the CT radiation?

A 29-year old seminoma survivor with 4 prior CTs comes for his 5th CT. Is his risk of cancer more on this 5th CT compared to the previous ones? By how much?

A 14-weeks by gestation pregnant patient with trauma needs an urgent CT study for further evaluation. What is the risk of fetal harm due to radiation? Is it less than the risk at 6 weeks?

If you had questions like these from your patients and relatives and are not sure of the answers, check out our recent session with Dr. Akshay Baheti on Radiation Protection here: https://radiogyan.com/videos/radiation-risks/

2021-04-16 16:21:18 Hey #TeamGyan

I am looking for radiology residents and colleagues from different parts of the world to grow the RadioGyan community.

You will get access to the core group of teachers and learn a lot in the process. The entire team will be featured on the website and you will get to represent your country. This will also help you build your CV as RadioGyan is one of the most visited radiology website in the world.

If you are interested, please send me an email at admin@radiogyan.com with the following details:

1. Name
2. Postion ( Medical student / Resident / Fellow / practicing radiologist)
3. Country
4. Why would like to work with the RadioGyan team?
5. What can you bring to the RadioGyan team?

I will shortlist a few candidates initially from these and gradually build the team.

Thanks

Dr. Amar Udare.

2021-04-16 04:14:15 We discussed 10 interesting cases in yesterday's session.

As always we had an excellent response. Thank you to all those who attended live. It was meant to be a rapid fire session but because we have residents at different levels, it is difficult to rush through cases. We will have separate sessions for exam going residents which can be rapid fire.

The recording is available for the next couple of days on the RadioGyan Youtube channel for those who missed attending live.
