In Bishkek, a crowd of angry residents broke into a hostel for foreign students and started smashing it - police who arrived on the scene are trying to restore order

Mass riots broke out in the Kyrgyz capital after a fight broke out in a hostel in Bishkek a few days ago between locals and foreign students, presumably from Egypt and Pakistan. Today, law enforcers blocked several streets in the city and the entire Bishkek police force was put on alert. However, this did not prevent more than 200 angry residents from coming to the dormitory to confront the newcomers.

People broke into the hostel and began to smash it, breaking doors and windows, but then the police intervened and began to push the pogromists away from the hostel, detaining the most violent instigators. At the same time, the Kyrgyz Interior Ministry reported the detention of three foreigners who participated in the fight a few days ago. Law enforcers are now trying to restore order on the streets.
