Hero of the Day: Ilon Musk thinks Trump's Twitter ban was a mistake and is ready to give him back access
"I think it was a mistake because it alienated a large part of the country and ultimately did not disenfranchise Donald Trump," CNBC quoted Ilon as saying. In his opinion, permanent bans should be extremely rare and reserved for bots, cheaters or spam accounts.
Musk said he would give Trump back access. However, the billionaire noted that the deal to sell him Twitter is not yet finalized, so it won't necessarily happen.
Trump was permanently banned from Twitter in January 2021 - after his supporters stormed the Capitol.
