Marvel Comics has introduced a new character.
Meet Shela Sexton, nicknamed Escapade, a transgender mutant (IRONIC) with the ability to instantly swap physical locations with another person - or swap any specific physical or abstract attribute, such as possessions, skills, superhuman abilities, and even situations.
Comic book author Charlie Jane:
"I hope that Escapade and her friend Morgan Red will inspire transgender and non-binary people around the world to believe that they too can fight for justice through the power of creativity."
Artist Ted Brandt noted that "the world needs characters like Shelagh Sexton right now."
