Return of a legend: Disney is going to hire Johnny Depp in the Pirates of the Caribbean reboot
The former producer of the company expressed his confidence in this in an interview with People. According to him, a key part of this decision was the actor's legal battle with his ex-wife Amber Heard.
"After the verdict was announced, I'm pretty sure that "Pirates" will be rebooted, but Johnny will be back as Captain Jack Sparrow. Just because a movie like that has enormous box-office potential, plus this Disney character is already deeply rooted in pop culture," the producer said on condition of anonymity.
