A group of House Republicans sent a Thursday letter to President Joe Biden demanding a full unedited transcript from his phone call with then Afghan President Ashraf Ghani, where he reportedly encouraged him to convince the world that his government was holding its own against the Taliban.

The letter was spearheaded by New York Rep. Claudia Tenney and was signed by 26 other House Republicans. In it, the lawmakers blasted Biden’s handling of the withdrawal from Afghanistan after 13 U.S. service members were killed in a terror attack at the Kabul airport and call and demand Biden release the full, unedited and unredacted transcripts of his July 23 conversation with Ghani to the public.

Reddit banned an anti-vaccine forum and limited the visibility of 54 other subreddits associated with coronavirus denial after several moderators protested the platform's approach to health misinformation.

The subreddit r/NoNewNormal was banned for breaking Reddit's rules around intentionally targeting conversations elsewhere on the platform. The community had grown rapidly since being launched in June 2020, accumulating more than 122,000 subscribers.

The rest of the forums targeted in Wednesday's action will be removed from search or recommendations, and visitors to those subreddits will be warned that they should get medical advice from their physicians.

US states to accept driver's licence on iPhones

The feature, first announced at a presentation in June, lets iPhone users store IDs in the Wallet app. Some had expressed privacy concerns about handing over smartphones to police or security officials.

Apple now says users do not need to unlock or hand over their phones for the system to work for airport security.

Arizona, and Georgia will introduce the system first, with Connecticut, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Oklahoma, and Utah also signed up. The "first locations" to use the system will be airport security checkpoints run by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Apple says.
