Rise in Anti-Russian Hate Crimes in UK
Police forces in England have disclosed a rise in anti-Russian hate crimes since 2022, and young schoolchildren are among the victims.
Sky News reported there were dozens of "race hate crimes" against Russians.
"One large police force in England saw anti-Russian offences more than double in the last year compared to 2021, while a charity revealed that children of primary school age have been victims," they reported.
A restaurant with an anti-war theme in London has been also been subject to threats and abuse along the lines of people saying “close your restaurant or we’ll do it” and “Russian pigs."
