Post-pandemic world. How Uzbekistan's economy went through the coronavirus crisis

The Uzbek economy suffered to a much lesser extent than the economies of most countries in the world. Positive growth rates remained, but decreased from 5.6% in 2019 to 1.6% in 2020, writes #CERR expert Viktor Abaturov.

#GDP for the first three months of 2021 increased by 3%

In the structure of exports, the volume of food exports increased by 18.4%, chemicals and chemical products - by 21%, non-ferrous metals - by 58%, machinery and equipment - by 58%, textiles - by 37.8%.

In the first quarter of this year compared to the first quarter of 2020, the production of motor gasoline increased by 3.0%, cotton yarn by 12.4%. The index of the metallurgical industry production increased - by 7.9%, food products - by 7.5%, textiles - by 19.1%, chemical products - by 20.5%.
