The #Infographics of the Center for Economic Research and Reforms presents development of the automotive industry in Uzbekistan for 2016-2021
Musharraf Mir Ahmadova, an expert of #CERR analyzed the significant changes in the automotive industry of Uzbekistan over the past five years.
In the last 5 years, significant reforms have been made in the automotive sector:
- The volume of car production increased by 3 times to 280,000;
Long queues for the purchase of cars have been eliminated;
“Honesty vaccine” introduced and corruption eliminated;
In order to strengthen competition in the industry, the production of Volkswagen cars has been launched in Jizzakh region.
