The resistance in Ukraine has a large number of nationalists from Russia who had to flee Putin's oppression of anything right-wing. Much of the cultural art and entertainment that has helped support the nationalist scene in Kyiv came from these men who were chased out of their country but continued to build their nationalist ideologies. No Russian viewed a Ukrainian as any less nor did any Ukrainian, the hate is for governments. Now many of these exiled Russians are with the volunteer units fighting back Putin's oppression.
