while we generally avoid posting this sort of news as we are the Resistance channel for the Resistance, the extreme humanitarian crisis that is currently happening in Ukraine has convinced us to make a very special exception for a message that we are about to relay.

my friend Maria Volkova is still in my native city (that's Kharkiv in case you don't know) and she's organized a group of volunteers that works in 3 directions:

they buy & deliver medicines & food around the city - the medicines are available, but some people just don't have money or can't leave bomb shelter for a time long enough in order to buy them.
they buy & deliver equipment for the military - thermal imaging systems, scopes, body armor, misc tactical stuff.
they're currently working on module houses near Poltava , as a temporary housing solution.

Maria and her friend Anastasiya Gugel used to have a small shop at Etsy where they sold some vintage stuff, old-style Christmas decorations in particular.
Since 26 Feb you can buy only virtual goods and children drawings there, delivering fragile toys is currently.. not feasible.

I know Maria personally and can vouch for her, but you can check it out yourself, if you distrust information from the Internet as much as I do:
