Vale S.A. ($VALE) is one of the largest metals and mining companies in the world (in terms of market capitalization).

The company is engaged in the extraction and production of iron ore and iron ore pellets (iron ore products prepared for metallurgical processing in the form of burnt spherical lumps) - the main raw material for steel production. The share of these products in consolidated revenues is 80%.

There are additional activities - production of nickel and its by-products (precious metals, cobalt, etc.) - 11%, copper - 5%, metallurgical and steam coal - 3%; potassium, phosphates, manganese ore - 1%.

Vale has a diverse supply chain and is the world leader in the extraction of two of the most widely used minerals on the planet.

Iron and copper make a significant contribution to the business and continue to strengthen the company's cash position.

Vale plans to reinvest most of the cash received in company-sponsored mines.
