Suncor Energy is one of Canada's largest integrated energy companies with operations in western Canada, the eastern coast of Canada, the United States and the North Sea.

The exploration and production portfolio includes bitumen, synthetic oil and conventional oil, which helps offset more costly oil sands production.

In 2020, the average production was 695 million barrels per day, and, according to the company, the proven and probable oil reserves are about 7.4 billion barrels.

Suncor's second quarter results show that the company had net income for the first six months of this year at $1.7 CAD billion.

The company has set itself ambitious targets to achieve zero carbon emissions by 2050 and has already begun offering renewable energy solutions such as wind power and natural gas.

The company aims at a 25% CAGR of its dividend yield. The yield is currently around 3%.
