Cenovus Energy Inc. together with its subsidiaries, develops, produces and markets crude oil, liquefied natural gas and natural gas in Canada, the United States and the Asia-Pacific region. The company operates in the Oil Sands, Conventional Products, Refining and Marketing segments.

Cenovus Energy recently announced over C $1 billion in free cash flow. This amount will grow as the synergies from the merger are realized and operations are streamlined in the combined company.

Cenovus' debt to EBITDA ratio is C $13.5 billion. This is not much compared to other Canadian energy companies.

The recent merger with Husky should provide reasonable profitability in a wide range of future industry scenarios with the addition of refining capacity.
