Russian schoolgirls with four gold medals became the absolute winners at the first European Girls' Olympiad in Informatics that was held in Switzerland from 13 to 19 June.
This is the first girls Olympiad in that sphere, which was attended by 156 schoolgirls from 39 countries, including the United States, India and others. Each of the teams had the opportunity to register up to four people.
In the individual competition,
the absolute first place of the Olympiad was divided between Ekaterina Shilyaeva from Chelyabinsk and Alisa Gladchenko from Moscow, scoring the same maximum result - 709 points. They showed the best result in the most difficult task, which only 15 participants of the competition were able to cope with.
