Participation of Egypt in SPIEF-2022 was discussed at the meeting of the Russian-Egyptian Commission on trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation.The meeting was chaired by the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation
Denis Manturov and the Minister of Trade and Industry of the Arab Republic of Egypt
Nevin Gamea. Parties discussed key issues of bilateral cooperation and noted the prerequisites for further strengthening the entire range of Russian-Egyptian relations, as well as discussed the participation of Egypt in key business events, including
the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
“Russia and Egypt are bound by strong traditions of friendship and mutually beneficial dialogue. This serves as a good basis for the progressive development of bilateral relations in all areas: from political and military interaction, industrial and economic cooperation to the formation of sustainable humanitarian ties". – emphasized Manturov.
