Friends Star Dead In Hot Tub Drowning
Matthew Perry, best known for his portrayal of Chandler Bing in the sitcom Friends, has died aged 54 after openly battling addictions to drugs and alcohol for almost half his life.
Police were called to Perry’s California home Saturday afternoon after an apparently accidental drowning in a hot tub, with initial reports suggesting no foul play or confirmed cause of death.
“I wanted to be famous so badly. You want the attention, you want the bucks,” he told the New York Times in 2002. “I didn’t think what the repercussions would be.”
