Israel ‘Will Evacuate Babies’ Amidst Gaza Hospital CrisisIDF officials said Sunday they are prepared to evacuate babies from Gaza’s largest hospital where power has run out, leaving two newborns to die and dozens more at severe risk.
The World Health Organization says it has lost contact with the Al Shifa hospital as fighting in the area intensified; Hamas claims to have taken out 160 Israeli military targets in the last 48 hours alone.
Al Shifa director Muhammad Abu Saliya told Al Jazeera that he’d contacted the Red Cross to say they’d run out of electricity, fuel for generators, water, oxygen and most supplies.
