Olympics shot down by “TERRORIST”?? “Is there blood on this gold?” (Report)
An Iranian human rights group has SLAMMED the IOC for posting a tweet in praise of marksmen Javad Foroughi – calling his gold medal award a “catastrophe” as he is a member of a “terrorist organization.” (Jerusalem Post)
Foroughi, who won a gold medal in Tokyo for air pistol shooting, is a long-standing member of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) – entered on the list of terrorist organizations by the US govt.
According to Iranian media, Foroughi worked as a nurse at the IRGC hospital in Tehran and allegedly learned to shoot in the basement of the medical facility.
However, German newspaper Bild discovered an interview in May last year where the Olympic champion talked about his time in Syria as part of the Quds Forces - providing security services preparing for “COUNTERATTACKS” against Assad’s forces.
Foroughi won Olympic gold on his debut, smashing the world record in the process.
