One could argue this actually improved our lives. The less federal government involvement in our lives, the better. Our constitution is based on individual liberties and states rights more than it is based on federal usurpations of those liberties. Instead of what General Eisenhower warned us about, a military-industrial complex, we now have a military-industrial-security state complex. It has grown out of control. We only have ourselves to blame because we allowed it.

Why I say to get involved in your local communities like you’ve never been involved before. Stop complaining and step up.

I think we are all feeling the sadness, the fear, the edge of the cliff. The righteous indignation. It is important to remember that when we band together hand in hand and peacefully assemble, WE are the change the world is seeking. We. The. People.

Violence and hatred won’t defeat violence and hatred. We must rise up, and make our voices heard. And we must do it through our truth, our conviction, our Faith, and our love of God and Country. Be stern. Be strong. Never back down, but never initiate. [They] want us to show violence. [They] want us to look like fools. Don’t give them the pleasure. By not falling into that vicious cycle - you stand up for Light and Truth and we win more and more.

(When I was younger, I never really liked Creed, but now I find a lot of their lyrics to be exceptionally relevant. I also kind of think far more happened behind the scenes there than we know. Biggest rock band in the world out there singing what amounts to Christian lyrics … seems to me that [they] wouldn’t like that too much.
