A leader's two most important qualities are dedication and commitment.
Meet Biruk Aschalew, the best delegate of Kirkos Subcity; this young man's path to the LCC was not as easy as one might think. The leadership conference and competition took place on the same day as the 12th grade national exam orientation. Biruk, a 12th grader, was required to attend the orientation and then rush back to the conference. He also competed on Sunday, knowing that the next day he had to sit for the National exam. Nonetheless, the fact that he had to take an exam did not prevent him from taking part in the competition, in which he excelled with greatness.
We frequently make excuses for not committing to our passion and calling. We blame it on inconvenience and bad timing, but Biruk's story changes the game for such negative thoughts.
We can accomplish anything if we put forth the necessary effort.
