Yesterday we could not release SMCG because our hired developer scammed us. For the last 48 hours we have been trapped in the impossible position of giving the benefit of doubt to our developer, whilst also honouring the promise of openness we keep with the community.

This has left our beloved community rightfully confused, alarmed, and upset.

We had been in good contact with the developer until launch day when he stopped responding. We looked ready to launch. The UI had been created and looked ready.

We have reached out constantly for the last 72+ hours to no success. We have given every opportunity for the developer to explain what happened. He has ignored us, and so we feel it is appropriate to warn other teams and potential clients about this individual.

He was being paid $90/hours for approx 250 hours of work.

Nobody on the team wanted it to go this way, but Kryptok’s behaviour is unacceptable, cowardly, and has damaged our community and project.

We will continue to update the community as we resolve this issue. We intend to release SMCG as promised.
