I know, just like reading a book for the umpteenth time.
The hero dies, I know. Just like I know there'll be heartbreaks.
His friend cries, I know. Just like I know there'll be agony masked under an ice age.
I'll be scared when he takes me away, I know.
I'll be empty when you pick me up, I know.
The look in my children's eyes, the calm serene smile on her face, the warmth in your hand and my apathy. I know.
Just like reading a badly written book for the umpteenth time. I know.
You can just not pick up the book again. But I cannot put down the book that is my life, my story.
I still try to rewrite some lines, even if I'm not the main author.
Even if I'm just the main character.
